The Skovby SM78 is an ingenious extending dining table that makes seating additional guests a breeze. The elliptical tabletop separates to allow the two supplied extension leaves to be added, and a further two leaves are available separately to extend the table even further. I

It is not just the top that extends; the four elliptical legs are actually eight semi-elliptical legs and these pull out as the table is extended to offer firm support along the full length of the table. This allows the table to seat up to 14 diners when extended to 390cm, with 6 comfortably catered for in its standard mode.
