Ulster Carpets has managed to combine the core values of a family-owned business with the attributes of a major manufacturer by still retaining the vision of the company founder, George Walter Wilson, who established the company in 1938. They take great pride in the fact that we have been manufacturing in the UK and Ireland since 1938. Their company headquarters remain on the original site that the company was founded on over 80 years ago although they now also have offices across the world.
We’re all more conscious of the impact we can have on the planet and Ulster Carpets takes this responsibility seriously. Thanks to their state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, they are able to contribute to the preservation of the environment without compromising on performance and luxury.
Choosing an Ulster carpet will help your home environment, offering a highly durable and resilient floor covering that is easy to maintain, fire resistant and boasting anti-allergy and improved air quality characteristics. The sustainability of an Ulster carpet is mirrored by their manufacturing processes. They reuse materials such as cardboard boxes and cardboard tubes while 100% of their post manufacturing waste – the material left over from making an Ulster carpet – is diverted from landfill for recycling or energy recovery purposes.
